Senior Advisor
Laure Duhot has had a career spanning over three decades in the private equity, banking and property fund management industry.
She is currently acting as senior adviser for a number of investors and fund managers, providing strategic advice and transaction support for their real estate investments across Europe, with a focus on the ‘Living’ sector.
Laure has acted as a NED on a number of company boards over the past 16 years, with current mandates including PHP plc (a FTSE-250 healthcare REIT), InLand Homes plc (a residential developer and housebuilder) and MIC limited (a hotel operator). Past NED mandates included Registered Providers such as The Guinness Partnership, Thames Valley Housing Group and Grainger Trust, where Laure become a champion of affordable housing.
Until earlier this year, she was Head of Investments and Capital Markets – Europe for Lendlease, and a member of its Regional Investment Committee, underwriting and arranging funding for new office and mixed-use regeneration investments of the Australian group in Europe. She was previously a MD at Grainger plc where she was responsible for Fund management and Corporate Finance and a member Grainger’s Executive Board and Investment Committee. She played a leading role repositioning the firm on UK PRS and set-up, managed and listed the £650m GRIP-REIT.
Prior to this Laure was Head of the Capital Markets team at Pradera, where she was also a member of the group’s executive board, and a senior executive at Sunrise Senior Living Inc, where she was responsible for international expansion and established the firm’s UK business. She was credited with the sale of Sunrise’s £660m UK property portfolio in 2007, a transaction which was short-listed for a Best Exit of the Year award. She was a Founding Partner of Macquarie Capital Partners (now M3) where she focused on investment banking advisory to property companies, particularly client operating in alternative real estate. Before specialising on real estate, Laure was a Director at Lehman Brothers, and she started her career in banking and private equity, with a focus on infrastructure and project finance.
