Leader of Waltham Forest Council

Clare was elected to the London Borough of Waltham Forest in May 2010 and has held a number of Cabinet roles, including for Children and Young People, and Economic Growth and High Streets. She has been Leader of the Council since May 2017. Since then, Waltham Forest was the first ever London Borough of Culture and was named ‘Local Authority of the Year’ at the prestigious Municipal Journal Awards in 2019.
