Associate Director, ThinkingPlace
Harriet Roberts is an associate director with thinkingplace, place specialists. She works as a freelance consultant for Groundwork Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside delivering the town centre Business Improvement District in Warrington and previously was BID Manager in Blackburn, Lancashire (Great British High Street Winners 2016).
Harriet has a passion for heritage as collaborative tool for town centre partnerships and in developing place narratives. As such, she is piloting a resource kit called Time Machine which she has been commissioned by Heritage Open Days, National Trust. In terms of physical heritage assets, Harriet is part of a trustee group aiming to rescue and restore an iconic building called The Cotton Exchange in Blackburn as part of an £8 million development plan and has carried out community engagement commissions in her home in the Ribble Valley to identify viability and repurposing of several Methodist church chapels as community hubs.
