Anti-racism webinar series: Understanding Institutional & Structural Racism

Thursday 5th November 1.30-2.30pm GMT

During July and August, roused by the Black Lives Matter movement,      Real Estate Women held a series of closed roundtables exploring unequal race representation in property.

In attendance were multi-ethnic women and men from across the property spectrum, business owners and senior leaders in large companies from investment, consulting, law, retail and architecture.

On the table, topics covered discrimination black people face in the real estate industry on a personal and professional level – as individuals, within companies and organisations, in the wider community and in the physical built environment.

Real Estate Women will now be opening up a series of discussions to our members, subscribers and the wider property community.

Our first panel will address institutional and systemic racism. Our speakers will share how this industry contributes to institutional racism, even when unintended, and how it benefits from structures put in place to serve white privilege.
