James Markby has 20 years real estate investment experience, is a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Charter Surveyors and has a BSc Honours Degree in Investment and Finance in Real Estate, from Reading University.
James is founder and joint owner of Logistics Capital Partners, specialising in logistics real estate, development, project management, asset management. With 7 offices across western Europe (London, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Brussels, Eindhoven, and Luxembourg) the group has secured a development pipeline of over 14 million sq ft / €1.5 billion of value, and further assets under management totalling 9.5 million sq ft / equating to €1 billion.
Logistics Capital Partners offers dedicated logistics expertise and a strong occupier and corporate real estate focus, combined with access to global capital providers, to deliver a leading pan European commercial real estate business, recently ranked in the top 10 logistics developers in Europe.
Prior to LCP, James was instrumental in creating and coordinating CBRE’s European logistics business and real estate strategy and was a lead member of the Industrial & Logistics Executive Board. From 2009, he was Head of CBRE’s European Industrial & Logistics investment team and had the leading market share of logistics investment transactions.
James has completed investment transactions across most of Europe, with a total value in excess of €7 billion, including development funding for occupiers such as Amazon and DHL, and worked with all the main developers.
